Built around the stories of student leaders, who rose from obscurity to organize a revolution, JULY 36 will capture the chaos, violence, and hopes of the uprising, the delirious shock of the students’ victory, and their continuing fight to rebuild the country’s institutions.
With intimate access to everyone from ordinary Bangladeshi citizens to members of the military and government officials, the film builds a fast-paced, immersive record of a stunning historical moment, from the halls of power to the streets of Dhaka.
